About

As a retired Police Dog Sergeant I joined Lancashire Constabulary in 1970, and joined the Dog Section in 1974 working with both general purpose and explosive search dogs.  I competed in seven regional dog trials and numerous competitions at the highest level.  I transferred into the Dog Training School in 1987 as an instructor and in 1988 attended the Home Office Instructor’s course at the Metropolitan Police Dog Training School at Keston, and qualified as an accredited instructor.

I also qualified as an Explosives Search Dog Instructor/Assessor after attending a course in Northern Ireland in 1989.
Since retiring from the Police Force I have turned my attention to Civilian Dog Training encompassing general obedience, working trails and behavioural problems.  These services are offered on a one-to-one basis during home visits.
